Moving on up...to Oakham!

EducationCity.com, the innovative educational software company, which provides award-winning content to primary schools, has moved to Oakham, relocating to Oakham’s new Office Park after 6 years at the PERA Innovation Park in Melton Mowbray. 

Formed 10 years ago with just 3 people, EducationCity.com has grown rapidly to become one of the key resource providers in the primary school market. Today, the company has a team of almost 100 talented artists, programmers and support personnel dedicated to servicing the 12,000 schools it has subscribing to it, and is a regular amongst the winners of the two principle awards in its sector, the BETT (British Education Technology in Teaching Award) and ERA (Education Resources Award) Awards. It is also making significant positive inroads into the US market, where it has a team of 40 based in Chicago.

Matt Drakard, Director of EducationCity.com, says: “This is a very exciting time in our development. Our former offices served us very well, but as we’ve got bigger we’ve simply outgrown them. Our new 9,000 sq.ft. purpose-built, state-of-the-art, office in Oakham is the perfect place for us. It gives us the space we require for our staff, who will take us to the next level in both the UK and US, and for our extensive systems infrastructure.”
