EducationCity can be integrated into several learning platforms, including Google Classroom, Microsoft Office 365 for Education, DB Primary, eSchools, Frog and RM Unify, to various extents. To understand what the integration process involves for your school, please either call us on +44 (0)1572 725080 or contact your learning platform provider.
If you’ve already done this, please follow the step-by-step instructions given here.
Please note: Your students will need to have been allocated a Home Access licence to be able to access EducationCity from home via a learning platform.
If the curfew notification is popping up, it means that your child's school has not purchased Home Access licences (or at least not allocated one to your child). This means they just have access during school hours, which by default is 8.30am-4.30pm.
Home Access is available to all schools at an additional cost.
We are currently upgrading our site to HTML5 to ensure that it is tablet-friendly, however, some of our content is still Flash-based.
To access this, you will need Adobe Flash Player, therefore if you don't have it installed on your PC, you will need to download it.
Flash is free and very easy to download with step-by-step instructions, simply visit www.adobe.com/support/flashplayer/downloads.html.
If you're on a school work placement as a student teacher, please talk to your ICT Coordinator about requesting access to EducationCity, and ask them to contact us. If the school already has access to EducationCity, you will also be able to use the school login details as a member of teaching staff.
If you're a student teacher and not currently on a work placement, you can also request access through your university by supplying your university and course tutor's contact details. We'll then be in touch with your tutor to discuss access for your university.
15,500 schools use and trust our award-winning product. A few of our key features and benefits are outlined here.
The Curriculum Map makes selecting the right content easy, as it matches the objective you want to cover to the Activities, Learn Screens, Topic Tools etc. that address it.
The Topic Filter button can be found at the top right of the Activity Select page. It can be used to help you choose Activities which cover topics within a specific subject. You also have the option to Switch Year, identifying the same topic at a higher or lower level, which is a real time-saver when planning for differentiated learning.
No we don't. We simply cut off the access at the end of the 21-day trial period. If you need longer or run out of time, then you can simply request a trial extension which we will happily grant you.
We are a modular resource, so you have the option to subscribe to individual modules or to school packs. Pricing is per module rather than per student and is based on a whole school site licence.
For more information, contact our friendly team on +44 (0)1572 725080.

We’re sorry to hear that you’re having problems with downloading the Puffin Academy app. Please refer to our User Guide here for step-by-step instructions.
If you’re struggling with the app itself, it may be because we currently have a mix of HTML5 and Flash content on our site: HTML5 content is not compatible with Puffin Academy but can be accessed on a standard web browser; Flash content isn't compatible with some tablets but can be accessed using Puffin Academy.
We realise that this isn’t an ideal but are working on converting all our content to HTML5 to give a more consistent experience. In the meantime, to help you identify which content is HTML5 or in PDF format, we have created the icon.
We have been assured that Puffin Academy are working on getting their app to support HTML5 content as a priority; until this solution becomes available please bear with us and accept our apologies for the inconvenience caused.
We know that Puffin Academy has added extra IP addresses to tackle this issue. Whitelisting the IPs given below, so that they are permitted by your school’s firewall, should therefore help:
- 18.104.22.168 (1 IP)
- 22.214.171.124/27 (32 IPs)
- 126.96.36.199/27 (32 IPs)
- 188.8.131.52/23 (512 IPs)
- 184.108.40.206/23 (512 IPs)
