Why can't the user name and password be changed and saved? It is very difficult to remember the user names and passwords supplied by education city. Usually on websites you can personalise your username and password. Secondly, it would be so much better if you could link the home account to the school account, so you again can sign in under the same usernames and passwards.
User Name and Password and School Accounts
School accounts and family home user accounts require different login details because they are separate.
Homework login details can be reprinted if needed on plain A4 or City Pass cards, please contact us if you need some.
We allow the pupils to auto login at school and then when they finish an activity it asks them to select their class and name to record their results. This would allow some pupils to post results onto other pupils accounts but having them not have to find their password every lesson seems to be a good compromise. Mostly the pupils enjoy finding their own name and clicking on it anyway.
For their home use we printed off their passwords on A4 paper and stuck them into the front of their school planners so they always have them to hand.
That's great that you have your AutoLogin set up. Did you also know that you can change the settings so that as soon as a pupil clicks the big green 'play' button it asks which class they are in/choose name. This then enables the option to have scores automatically saved at the end of an activity, so pupils don't forget to do it.
and what if you CANT remember(what do you do where do you go)so that isnt the wright thing to say. how do you find out what your schools code
I am thinking the same thing... I can't remember our schools code because it is so looooooonnnggg!!!
School accounts have the option to create an 'AutoLogin' link. This is an icon that you can put on your desktop, the start menu or somewhere similar. It automatically logs you in without the need for usernames or passwords, making it simple and quick for your pupils and teachers to access and helps to protect you against license breaches.
if you need help setting this up, please feel free to call 0844 225 3060 and we can show you where to find this link.

I agree about the Pupil IDs and passwords being difficult to remember.
The teachers have to keep a copy with them and I'm sure some children lose them so cannot log on at home.
I thought the passwords were the same for home and school.
