Onsite Training
We offer onsite training at your school with the aim of developing teachers' skills and knowledge to effectively integrate EducationCity.com into curriculum planning and lesson delivery.
The training sessions are designed so that all staff, including TAs, can feel confident using EducationCity.com to its full potential.
A typical training session covers the following areas:
- Navigation through the resource
- Learning how activities relate to the Curriculum
- Using EducationCity.com for whole class teaching
- Setting up areas for personalised and independent learning
- Viewing saved scores for your pupils’ activities
- Learning how to plan differentiated lessons to support personalised learning goals
By the end of a session, staff will be able to:
- Find an activity relevant to what they are teaching
- Use activities both in individual play mode and whole class whiteboard mode
- Use tests and the unique revision pathways they create to assess and aid learning
- Create a myCity – an area for personalised directed learning, also allowing independent learning to take place, by selecting activities and putting them all in one place, with customised settings.
- Navigate through SuccessTracker, finding and viewing information from scores saved by pupils
- Take the challenge and Play Live!
Requirements: A suitable room must be supplied e.g. a classroom with Internet access and a projector and access to an ICT suite for workshops.
Cost: £300 for a 2 hour session. This can either be a twilight or after school session, or during an INSET day.
