Tests

The assessment feature is a new addition to our portfolio of activities, e-learning tools and learning games for Maths and Science. The tests help to create a fully comprehensive, online educational package by integrating all the essential elements of teaching and testing.Science Test Select Screen

 

Tests are currently available in:

  • Key Stage 1 Maths
  • Key Stage 2 Maths
  • Key Stage 2 Science (Year 6 only)

 

The tests are short and manageable, designed to fit perfectly within the tight timeframe of a lesson.

As with all EducationCity.com tests, the Science Tests support Assessment for Learning.  All of our test questions are written by educationalists, using attainment target level descriptors from the National Curriculum and the National Numeracy Strategy. These ensure that they are pitched at the right level and cover the correct content. 

The tests provide a realistic benchmark for teachers by testing and tracking pupils' performance. The results obtained are used to create individualised revision pathways* for each child, focusing on the highlighted areas for improvement.   • Tests are designed to replicate real exams in terms of length, equipment available, question style and timings. 
  • The format for each test is outlined at the outset and all instructions given as they would be in a real exam.
  • At the end of the tests, feedback is available immediately. 
  • The pupils can see the score and go through each and every answer they gave. 
  • Step by Step workings for each question within the test can be viewed to reinforce the learning objective covered.
