As part of our upgrades, we're really excited to tell you about our new tablet-friendly Spelling, Punctuation and Grammar Tests.

Tell Me About the New Tests…

Each Test has been designed to test your students on the key areas of spelling, punctuation and grammar across Key Stages 1 and 2. With over 2,000 questions, these Tests are fantastic for supporting the teaching of spelling and grammar in schools and preparing for SATs.

The Tests will cover key areas stipulated by the National Curriculum and are organised in the following way:

Key Stage 1

Lower Key Stage 2

Upper Key Stage 2

End of Key Stage 2

Where Can I Find the Tests?

The Tests are available in the English module – you can find them by selecting English on the homepage, choosing a Key Stage or year level and then Tests – easy!

Can I Assess Students' Test Performance?

All scores from the Tests will be available in SuccessTracker for you to assess student performance.

Finished Taking a Grammar and Punctuation Test? Use Your Revision Journal!

After a Grammar and Punctuation Test has been taken, your students can take advantage of the Revision Journal that is generated from it. To find these, students just need to go to MyRevision.

After taking all Tests (except Spelling Tests), a personalised Revision Journal is generated to help students revise and improve. A range of Activities and Learn Screens are gathered together based on their previous Test scores so students can focus on areas of improvement.

Miss Cook, teacher from Greyfriars Primary School in Norfolk has been chatting to us about the new Tests: “It’s fantastic to have the English Tests added to EducationCity. I already use the maths Tests regularly and not only are they great for getting students accustomed to the test format, they’re also really helpful when it comes to identifying which areas need more focus in my planning. I’m looking forward to trying them out with my students.”

To check out the new English Tests and use them in your lessons, log in to EducationCity.
