Can you believe that it’s now been one year since we welcomed Brierley Forest Primary School as our first ever Hub School? If you’re not sure what a Hub School is, you can find out more here.
Well, as it’s their first anniversary, we’ve been catching up with the school’s ICT Coordinator, Dan Chambers, to ask him what his highlights have been so far. Here’s what he had to say!
Dan, what have you got up to over the past year as a Hub School?
“We’ve provided a training session to local primary schools to give support to teachers using EducationCity, and got in touch with a school for Dan Cresswell, Relationship Manager at EducationCity to provide training sessions elsewhere. I’ve also been training the staff within my school to use EducationCity more efficiently.”
Sounds great! So, what are your highlights to date?
“My own personal highlight has been presenting at the Bett Show for EducationCity. As a school, the highlight would be the training session provided by Dan Cresswell at Brierley Forest. Following this session, teachers are more confident using EducationCity and also use it much more effectively.”
Anything coming up?
“Yes, I’ve been asked to do a presentation on 19th November for Nottinghamshire Education Authority to ICT Coordinators and Computing teachers in Nottinghamshire. The presentation’s called ‘How I Use EducationCity to Raise Attainment’.”
