The event is a celebration of all things related to numbers and letters and is a great time to help develop your students’ mental maths and spelling skills whilst having a huge amount of fun along the way!
Let us tell you a little more…
This year, we’ve adopted a new format, which focuses on key skills within Maths and English for four or five days before the Challenge Day itself. This will be Thursday 21st June for schools outside the UK and Friday 22nd June for schools based in the UK.
Please note that if your school is based in the UK and you play either PlayLive Maths or English on Thursday 21st, students’ scores will not be counted. They will be tracked on Friday 22nd instead.
There will be a PlayLive Maths and English competition per year group and the two schools who gain the best score in any individual game from Years 1-6 (or your region’s equivalent), will be crowned the winners.
We’ll be following the scores as each Challenge Day progresses and each school, which has the best overall score at the end will receive top fantastic prizes, as well as goody bags for the winning students – let’s see if you can get your school at the top of the leader board!
*Terms and Conditions apply. Prizes include all subjects and year levels and are not available in conjunction with any other offers, discounts or vouchers. Only one prize per school.
As mentioned above, each day building up to the 21st and 22nd will focus on a different topic within Maths and English that can support your students’ learning and development to help them give the PlayLive challenges their best shot.
We’ve created some fantastic free resource packs to help you out, with each pack separated out per day, including Activity Sheets, ThinkIts and lesson activity ideas you could try.
We hope to see your school take part! Please do note that you do not have to subscribe to EducationCity to play along. It’s the more the merrier, so simply set up a free trial for your school to cover the event date and join in the fun!
