The half-term break is on its way and so we wanted to let you know why your students should be using EducationCity’s Home Access.

Home Access is perfect for your students to develop and retain the skills they’ve learnt at school during the holiday at home.

Tell Me… What’s Home Access?

Home Access allows your students to access EducationCity away from school, allowing them to continue their learning at home to combat holiday learning loss.

It gives teachers flexibility; students can access any work set by teachers or even explore EducationCity themselves.

What’s more, letting your students learn over the half-term holiday is really important as research indicates that as many as one in three children regress academically due to a break away from school*.

Top Tips: Setting Homework with Home Access

Home Access is great to set consolidation work for students, and through MySuccess, children and their families can track the progress they’re making through topics too!

Here’s some tips for setting homework with Home Access:

1. Set Homework with MyCity

You can set work with MyCity for your students to do over the holidays. Work can cover key points from the term’s lessons to gain mastery on topics or even as a mid-term assessment for your class.

2. Sequence Homework for a PlayLive Treat!

Sequence your MyCity work into a set order and then add PlayLive at the end to give your students a well-deserved, fun treat!

3. Gain Understanding and Set Learn Screens

Make sure your students understand new or already covered topics and add Learn Screens before setting Activities.

4. Track Your Students’ Progress

Use the Tracking tab in MyCity to track any scores from homework and view your students’ progress.
