Not only this, learning about and growing plants helps:

 

In your lessons, you might learn about plants by growing some together and looking after them – we all know that most students love getting their hands dirty! Or maybe you might go out and do some plant identifying to explore more about plants.Dig the Garden EYFS Activity

Whatever you do, to support your lessons in plants, we’ve found some resources that feature plants on EducationCity for the EYFS level that can be found in the Science module and help to address the Prime and Specific Areas. You can either go to the Science module to find them or just type in the ID numbers to Search.

 

Activities for F1:

Garden Fun: #1475 – Fill in the missing shapes to complete the garden.

Includes an Activity Sheet to help students see what’s in their environment.

Dig the Garden: #1458 – Choose the right items to help Stig do each job in the garden.

Includes an Activity Sheet so students can learn more about flowers.
