This year’s BBC Children in Need Appeal Night takes place on Friday 14th November and the theme is “Be a Hero”.
The official BBC Children in Need website provides lots of great fundraising ideas and themed publicity materials for you to use including:
- a whole section of Primary School resources, outlining what BBC Children in Need is and why it’s so important
- a whole host of fundraising tips, ideas and posters to help you with your school’s fancy dress day, bake sale, talent show or sponsored challenge
- great practical information on how to pay your money in and reward your students with their well-earned thank you
There is also a great section on how the charity spends the money each year, explaining just how many projects are ongoing and the impact each project has. It really does make inspiring reading!
To make things even easier for you, our team here at EducationCity have pulled together our very own Children in Need Toolkit. We have written a brief history of the cause for you and collated the most pertinent pieces from the BBC Children in Need website, so it’s all in one place for easy access.
We’re looking forward to a great day ourselves on the 14th as once again, we’ll be hosting a highly-contested company bake off. We might very well take inspiration from the wonderful recipes that are on the BBC Children in Need website.
