Bonfire Night Time: Let’s Get Celebrating!

Sparklers, pinwheels, rockets and more… it’ll soon be the 5th November which means Bonfire Night is just around the corner, and with it, we’ve got a number of really fun activities you can use in your classroom to celebrate this shimmering, glittery evening!

Story time…

First, we wanted to tell you a little bit about the background to Bonfire Night. Bonfire Night celebrates the discovery of the Gunpowder Plot when, all the way back on 5th November 1605, Guy Fawkes and others planned to blow up the Houses of Parliament, including King James I. At the last moment though, the plot was discovered and parliament was saved! Phew!
