EducationCity Limerick Competition

Hey there buddies,

And happy St. David’s Day to everyone who’s in and loves Wales!

Always ones to do things a bit differently here, – and not intending to step on anyone’s toes – we’re actually looking to St. Patrick’s Day today, the day we celebrate leprechauns, shamrocks and everything Irish.

We’re hoping to create our very own EducationCity limerick to commemorate the day, and are launching a competition today because we really need your help!

Luckily, entering is easy! All you need to do is create your own limerick, which has the first, second and fifth line rhyming, and the third and fourth line rhyming, and send it to us by 16th March 2011.

The Gang has had a headstart as I mentioned the competition to them earlier. Here is their attempt:

There once was a buddy from EdCity,

Who really was very pretty,

She played lots of games,

Which expanded her brains,

So she ended up both pretty and witty!

Can you do better? I’m sure you can!

Go on, go on, put your thinking caps on, and send us your literary masterpieces in reply to THIS blog. The person the Gang judges to have sent in the best will win 3 months’ subscription to EducationCity.com and an extra special mention on the blog on the 17th March, 2011.

The best of Irish (and Welsh) luck!
