EducationCity out and About: Visiting St. Giles’ C of E Primary School

Recently, Dan and Lindsay from EducationCity, left the office to visit our Walsall Hub School, St. Giles’ C of E Primary School, to see how their teachers and students use EducationCity.

St. Giles’ Using EducationCity…

During the visit, Topic Tools were a firm favourite for a number of classes. Students used Word Wheels for learning suffixes, Time to understand more about time and Mind Map to organise ideas and concepts.

St. Giles’ Using EducationCity…

During the visit, Topic Tools were a firm favourite for a number of classes. Students used Word Wheels for learning suffixes, Time to understand more about time and Mind Map to organise ideas and concepts.

However, the Moon Mission Activity was a high flyer for Year 5 who used it to learn about measurement. Students said: “It’s fun and if you get it wrong, you can be shown how to do it right”. They also described EducationCity as: “Adventurous, amazing, good, helpful and educational”!

Top Tip!

Miss Morgan, Teaching Assistant, is a fan of Tests: “Some students can be doing Tests and so I can focus my attention on others struggling. The self-assessment allows them and me to see what they got wrong and I get them to jot the headings down of what they got wrong so I can pick it up later”. Great tip!

And we can’t forget the special guest who showed up to surprise St Giles’ students. Can you guess who? Well, it was our very own Klara! Take a look at the gallery below to see what Klara got up to.
