Fancy Having a Famous Scientist Visit Your School?

We’ve a special announcement though! The BBC has asked us to let our schools know about the exciting Meet a Scientist competition they’re running alongside their series of investigations.

How The Meet a Scientist Competition Works…

When schools participate in an investigation, designed to inspire students’ inner scientist, they can upload their schools’ data and findings to an interactive map where they can see other schools’ results from across the UK. The map allows schools to compare results to further learning opportunities. Your school can sign up to input their findings on the map here.

The Meet a Scientist competition ties in with this! When schools in the UK upload their data from two investigations (either from the Exercise, Feet, Power or Grow investigations running from 14th August 2017 to 6th May 2018), they enter themselves into a prize draw to win a chance for a famous scientist to visit their school. Four lucky schools will have a scientist visit their school and can ask them interesting and exciting questions!

So if you’re a teacher or a member of a staff at a school who thinks this is an opportunity your school can get involved with, make sure you register your school and input your data to the Terrific Scientific interactive map!
