Laugh and learn this Red Nose Day

Red Nose Day is fast approaching, and here at EducationCity.com, we’ve already plunged into silliness with our re-make of the Harlem Shake! Be prepared to giggle at our video to the right!

Taking place on Friday 15th March this year, Red Nose Day offers schools a great opportunity to have some fun, which is always good, but also to make a difference, and teach about global issues.

The official Red Nose Day website provides lots of great ideas on how your school can “do something funny for money”. They’re also offering curriculum-linked resources, produced in collaboration with primary school teachers, that explore the life of Robert (aged 8) and the issues he faces living in a slum settlement in Nairobi, Kenya.

And then, of course, there’s the much-loved Red Nose! This year sees the launch of the brand new Dinosesaur Noses, especially designed to have pupils roaring with laughter. What’s more, Comic Relief has come up with an exclusive ‘pay a little bit now and the rest later’ offer to make selling them in school easier than ever. Find out more here!
