As it’s November, it is also the month of Movember, and five members of our lovely team here at EducationCity have been getting involved, growing their very own moustaches for this worthy cause!
What is Movember?
Movember, also known as moustache season, is an annual event which challenges men to take part in growing gentlemanly facial hair to raise awareness of men’s health issues, such as prostate cancer and mental health problems.
Our EducationCity Movember team, all now known as Mo Bros, took up this task at the beginning of the month with clean-shaven faces and are now coming towards the end of their 30 days of moustache growing.
They’re raising money for the cause along the way! Dan McClean, IT Infrastructure Administrator at EducationCity and keen amateur photographer, has invited EducationCity employees to take the opportunity to have a high-quality portrait taken of them if they sponsor his efforts for Movember.
James Lison, Senior Producer and Mo Bro, has commented: “There aren’t many causes out there that just focus on men’s health, a topic of conversation not many guys feel they can talk about. It is also a great excuse to grow a fabulous moustache and raise some money in the process”.
