MyCity: Making Differentiated Learning Easy

MyCity is a fab planning feature on EducationCity, which is great for differentiated learning! Usually, there’s a range of abilities in a school which is why it’s so important teachers have the right tools to answer to different strengths and weaknesses. MyCity lets teachers do just this!

What’s a MyCity?

A MyCity is an area where you can quickly group content in one place and assign it to students to access in class (Classwork), or at home (Homework) providing your school subscribes to Home Access*.

How Does MyCity Help With Differentiated Learning?

  • Great for 1:1 help: you can set a MyCity for a student who may require extra support.
  • Set work for different abilities: MyCity lets you set work for groups of students so they can focus on different work depending on their abilities without realising that they’re working at different levels.
  • Helps you manage your students’ learning: with MyCity, you can direct your students to work you’d like them to do and put it in an order by setting it to ‘Sequenced’ so you can control the flow of learning.
  • Track your students’ progress: each MyCity created has a Tracking tab so you can see students’ scores as well as what your students have completed, what’s in progress and what they haven’t accessed yet.

If you’d like to find out more about MyCity, come and talk to us at Bett on stand D360! What’s more, on Wednesday 20th January at Bett, you can see MyCity in action when teacher, Miss Cook, talks about it!

*To allocate Home Access, a great feature that lets students access EducationCity at home, you’ll need Home Access licences. Check out why Home Access is excellent for your school, as well as all the benefits it offers by clicking here.
