Sam’s Work Experience at EducationCity

Sam Jackson, from Uppingham Community College, recently spent time with us for his work experience placement. Here’s what he has to say about his time here!

My time at EducationCity was very enjoyable and I learnt a lot. Most of my days were spent in the Art Department and in my opinion, it is probably the liveliest out of the departments with music playing and a general cheery atmosphere. I mainly did animation and drawing tasks, but as the days went on I created characters running and jumping, which was fun to have the opportunity to do.

During the afternoons, near the end of my one week of work experience, I was sent to the other departments which included the Content & Curriculum Team, the Finance Department and the Development & QA Team. They were all interesting and I enjoyed learning how each of the departments ran their daily activities.

I would highly recommend EducationCity to anyone who is planning on going there for their work experience. There is one thing that I would recommend and that is, ask questions, be curious and have fun!

P.S. You don’t have to be a skilled artist or be good with computers to have a good time there, I know I did!
