Featured Activity of the Day

Today, our featured activity is Dragon's Pendant, a fun, yet imaginative, activity where pupils are invited to direct a scene from a movie called the Dragon’s Pendant, involving two characters. The objective for the pupil is to create roles showing how behaviour can be interpreted from different viewpoints within a story.

The activity is open-ended in that it is the pupil who decides on how the dialogue will progress within the story. Pupils can print out their version of the script once the activity has been completed. The activity has accompanying teacher notes and a worksheet which can be accessed via the Curriculum Map by clicking the green apple; or from the activity play screen by clicking the Teacher Zone button.

Dragon's Pendant is available in the following years and regions:

  • England: Year 4
  • Scotland: Second ***
  • Wales: Year 4
  • Northern Ireland: P5

Have a go and see if you have any future famous scriptwriters in your classroom!

We would love to read some of them, so feel free to send them to us!
