Take Learning Home over the Festive Holiday with Home Access

EducationCity’s Home Access lets your students take learning home during term time and over the holidays, and with the festive season here, we know how important it is to keep learning going when students go on their break. With Home Access, students can keep on learning throughout the festive season and New Year, and access either work set by teachers or explore EducationCity themselves.

Along with this, letting your students learn during this festive holiday is really important as research indicates that as many as one in three children regress academically due to a break away from school*.

Educational Support at EducationCity, Ellen, rates Home Access to teachers and parents, she says: “It’s great to set consolidation work for students, and through MySuccess, children and their families can track the progress they’re making through topics.”

Ellen’s Top Tips for Setting Homework

1. Set specific Homework: with MyCity to cover key points from the term’s lessons (or to set content that has a festive theme) or as a mid-term assessment point for your class.

2. Sequence Homework: now that MyCity lets teachers sequence work in a set order, why not allow a PlayLive challenge to be ‘unlocked’ at the end?

3. Set Learn Screens: add in a Learn Screen before setting Activities to maximise understanding – they can also be set as a reminder of what’s been covered in class.

4. Track Progress: track Homework at a glance with the new MyCity Tracking tab to see how students get on over the holidays!
