UK Hour of Code

UK Hour of Code is an initiative that stems from an identical event held during Computer Science Week in the United States where it succeeded in introducing coding to more than 20 million people in December 2013 (Source: uk.code.org). Its aim here in the UK is to get as many pupils, teachers and parents learning to code for an hour, between the 3rd and 9th March 2014.

It is hoped that it will be a fantastic precursor to the new Computing curriculum, which launches in schools in September, and will give teachers and pupils the opportunity to get a taster of what the Autumn Term will bring.

EducationCity is proud to be supporting Code.org UK and the UK Hour of Code by launching its much-anticipated ‘Freemium’ version of its new Computing module.. What’s more, we’ve also created some brand new Topical Resources,  also accessible completely FREE of charge.
