Ways to Encourage Test Preparation

Here are a few of our suggestions…

EducationCity’s Tests

There are Tests available in Maths, English and Science and they’re great for test prep, to help students get to grips with the types of questions that will be asked in their real tests, and also for teachers, as they are able to monitor their students’ progress, particularly with the upcoming SATs.

Quizzes are so much fun and can be tailored to subject areas such as measurement or grammar. It’s a fun way to prepare and when you mark answers altogether, students can learn from one another, which can help them improve for next time.

Learn Screens

EducationCity’s Learn Screens are fantastic for preparation and going over topic areas and concepts, whether that’s individually on a laptop or altogether as a class on the whiteboard. Just click into a subject on EducationCity to find them – there are loads to choose from!

Free Resource Packs

We’ve great packs to help you out too with maths and English! Take a look at our Maths and English SATs Preparation Lesson Plan Packs for further lesson inspiration – they’re great for resources for a number of test areas.

Take a Break

With all of the test preparation, there must come breaks and healthy snacks. It’s important to have a rest in between the prep, so be sure to incorporate this into your students’ routine, to give those young minds a break from the work.

If you have any other suggestions, be sure to get in touch with us @EducationCity – it’d be great to hear from you!
