Following in the footsteps of Alan Sugar, EducationCity is delighted to announce that it has hired its first apprentice that has been as a result of a work experience placement with us.
Lucy Elson, 18, of Melton Mowbray, joined the team at our Oakham offices on Monday 6th July as our Level 2 Marketing Apprentice. This was following a week’s work experience back in May, where Lucy worked closely with the Marketing Team. During Lucy’s placement, everyone was very impressed with how professional and organised she was, which is why the role was offered.
Lucy’s apprenticeship will start in September and she will study and learn as part of the Marketing Team until October 2016, by which time she will have earned the equivalent of a Marketing GCSE as a result of her in-house training.
“I’m very excited by the prospect”, said Lucy, “and I am looking forward to gaining experience in all the marketing and administrative areas that EducationCity is involved in. I especially can’t wait to get more involved with the event management side of things”.
